Jonathon Papelbon is a closer with the Washington Nationals. At the time I wrote this article he had not yet been traded. Most teams who are in the pennant race would like to have his talent, but if you trade for him, you have to take what comes with that talent. I am sure you remember his famous fight with his teammate Bryce Harper in the dugout toward the end of the season. You wonder about the mental stability of someone who would pick a fight with the team’s best player. It was reported that the Cubs were interested in Papelbon to be the setup man for Chapman. However, nothing further has come of this. I think the Cubs are afraid of what he would do to the chemistry on a team that has the best record in baseball right now. Of course, Papelbon is not the first one of these prima donas who has been part of major league sports. Just look at Manziel of NFL football fame. At last check, he was in some rehab facility trying to get his head on straight.
