Mr. Moise says this research would assist the Government in determining who should be issued a Dominican passport.“Before the Government gives a Haitian a paper, or a citizen or a resident; get to know the person. That’s why we want the Government to work with us, if the Government does not open its doors to me then I am still going to have a little issue. When the person goes for residency they can send them to our Association or call us to find out who that person is, where he comes from and if the person should be given a passport,” he said.Mr. Moise is asking the Government to consider that there are many Haitian nationals in the country who are employed and complying with the laws of the land and should be dealt with on an individual basis.“It’s not because Peter was doing bad and John goes for his papers means he should not get it. If John is behaving himself and doing well in the country then he should be given his documents,” Mr. Moise said.President of the Dominica Haiti Friendship Association, Mr. Frantso Moise.Meantime the President urges all Haitian nationals residing in Dominica who are bent on committing crimes and causing others to receive unfair treatment to cease this behaviour. The Association is organizing a second meeting scheduled for the 28th of August and invites all Haitian nationals to attend and voice their concerns.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img
