And more Aussie celebrity news00:43His jawdropping seven bedroom, five bathroom, three car space beach home at 46 Seaview Terrace, Sunshine Beach, has just gone under contract. The Mount Isa-born tennis star put the beach property on the market on August 25, 2016 and has patiently waited for offers over $18m for the home. The final price tag has not been revealed as yet and the Rafter’s real estate agent Tom Offerman of Tom Offerman Real Estate could not comment on the sale. The house was originally built for $4m. Rafter, wife Lara and their two children have already relocated to trendy Byron Bay in northern New South Wales to a 38ha estate where he has reportedly thrown himself into farmwork with “something to do every day”.He has been on a property divestment spree, selling off property in Sydney as well as land he held in Eumundi west of Noosa last year.In an interview with The Australian last week, Rafter seemed to have adjusted his expectations over the Noosa sale, stating “there’s been a few new barriers reached here and $5m to $9m sales are happening more regularly with a few over $10m now … This is a whole different category, but $18m — that’s what we spent on it.” The home has jawdropping views from multiple rooms.More from newsParks and wildlife the new lust-haves post coronavirus21 hours agoNoosa’s best beachfront penthouse is about to hit the market21 hours ago Tennis great Pat Rafter put this home on the market a year and a half ago.last_img
