You must beprepared to provide pediatric instruction in the clinical setting,skills lab, classroom and online.This Nursing Full Time Tenure Faculty position provides didacticand clinical instructions of nursing to students in both RN and LPNprogram. The person hired will also assist with the ACENaccreditation process. Instructional responsibilities includecourse development, updating and submission of course syllabi inrequired format, assessment of student outcomes, research, anddevelopment of resources for instruction, and utilization anddevelopment of instructional design methods that use technology(simulation). Timely evaluation of students including reporting ofstudents grades and progress is required.The successful candidate will participate in and contribute toprogram, divisional and institutional committees, and facultynursing committees. Ten office hours per week for studentconsultation and advisement and participation in professionaldevelopment, both internal and external, to remain credentialed innursing and to advance in the instructional role arerequired.Educational Requirements: At least a master’s degree with amajor in nursing. Candidates must have a current unencumberedRegistered Nurse license (Illinois) or eligibility for a Illinoislicense.Experience Requirements: At least two years of pediatricnursing experience is required. Pediatric experience is defined asproviding nursing care for children in a pediatric acuteunit/hospital or pediatric long-term care facility.
